We’re only just past 10% of the way through the year and I’ve had quite enough health related excitement for this year. Today was mostly head-down getting through some bits of work that need to be sorted before the end of the week, and hopefully bringing a close to a piece of work that I’d originally planned to be six months and ended up being two years. I think that everyone will be happy when it’s over.
My walk was a bit of a potter to the school and back this afternoon. My feet were still very sore after the blisters from Sunday. I ended up getting special blister plasters and they were much better for the 2 mile run after everyone had gone to bed.
I had a guitar lesson this afternoon, and after nailing the piece in practice, I couldn’t get through four bars without messing it up when playing it for Dan. I suppose it’s nerves, but there’s no sensible reason why I should be nervous. It’s one thing practicing it so much that you can do the whole thing with your eyes closed, but it’s another if it all crumbles when there is the slightest bit of pressure. It’s definitely something I need to work on.
Another quiet day tomorrow clearing the tables as there’s more very interesting stuff on the horizon. (EDIT: Actually, I just checked the calendar and tomorrow’s shaping up to be interesting. Thursday and Friday are pencilled in to complete this project)
