I received a reply from the Chief Exec explaining that most of the job losses at the Co-op are ‘back office’ and that the customer facing employees would not be effected. This was also reported in the Daily Post.
Since most of the jobs in Skem are customer facing, it should have very little impact on the town and on the bank’s position in the town.
