Brief update today – I didn’t really have a good chunk of time today, so I was going to give the rowing machine a go again.
First up, I did five minutes brisk walking on the running machine. Just to see how my foot felt without giving it a pummelling. It seemed fine, but I thought it best to step off and move to the rowing machine.
After five minutes I was finding it a bit dull, I can’t put my finger on it, but I looked around for something else.
So I set the incline on the running machine to the highest I could without feeling that I would fall backwards and set off walking. Goodness, that was hard work. I was able to keep it up for ten minutes and then I went off to do another five minutes on the rowing machine before calling it a day.
My right foot didn’t hurt and has been fine through the day. I could feel it very slightly immediately after exercising, but nothing bad.
So my plan is to try and mix the uphill walking, rowing and cycling over the next week and then see how my foot is feeling on Friday. If I haven’t had a problem for a couple of days by then, I’ll give it a run and see how I’m feeling.
I recorded stats for the last 20 minutes at the Garmin site.
